Mukhtasar Zad Al-Maad added in the guidance of the best of servants, a book authored by Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah . He wrote these books while traveling, and he did not have any sources from which he could convey what he needed in terms of hadiths, sayings and opinions related to the topics of the book. Nevertheless, his book included prophetic hadiths from the Sahihs, Sunnahs, dictionaries and biographies, and he confirmed each hadith on the subject that pertains to it. Knowing that Ibn al-Qayyim used to memorize the Musnad of Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal, which includes more than thirty thousand hadiths.
