فرس العائلة – The Family Mare

In this novel, the writer contemplates the spiritual history of a Bedouin clan in Palestine and conveys his great potential to benefit from popular mythology and its effective constitutional force in shaping people’s souls, their obsessions, fears, joys and sorrows. Four elements pass through the clan and shake its life: the small inventions introduced to it by one of its members, English people arriving to their rangelands after the Turks left, the city of Jerusalem which will be visited by men and women at first before they settle in its suburbs, and finally facing the ominous fate that awaits their homeland, as they discover that they are part of a nation that has its cities, villages, dreams and its yearning for freedom.
